My attitude; my pose; my characteristic ways; my thoughts or behavior.

Would your eyes like midnight fireflies light up the trenches where our love lies?
~ Sarah McLachlan
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb' with an iPod

The traffic leading up to Zouk was ridiculous last night! Topped that with the urge to get your hands on the Apple U2 goodie bag despite knowing the fact that they can't possibly afford to give you even an iSkin or a full U2 album! Kiasuism only for Singaporeans? I guess not. Sms-es flowing from Liz to me and me to Liz and me to Ronnie and Liz to Ronnie and me to William and William back to me - just so we could check on the status of the crowd and the freebies while being stuck in traffic seemed to be somewhat entertaining. What strange things people do these days just for kicks. :P

As I turned into Jalan Ampang, I saw a long human line along the side of the road and instantly I knew it could only be one of two things:

a) Malaysians are suckers; or
b) the goodie bag really is all that good.
A third option would be an impossible one - they had Bono in the house. Ha!

the Apple U2 goodie bag and the pass that saved me from having to queue up for it! Ah...the wonders of 'knowing' people. hehe.

the goodie bags - no better reason for people to queue like silly cows for hours along one of the busiest roads in the city ONLY TO FIND...in it, a locally produced Apple notebook (not laptop 'notebook', silly! Paper notebook), a How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb poster, a sample single of Vertigo in plain white card sleeve and an Apple Christmas brochure. What joy. :P

U2...localised. I must say, not a bad job done on the latest single, Vertigo, though. Deserving of applause.

check out this super limited edition, no wait, rephrase - UNIQUE (only one unit was produced) edition, life-size U2 iPod. Sorry...taken. haha.

yeah, got a little bored and discovered that the floral prints on my blouse looked kinda cool under those club lights. heh heh...

The highlight of the night? Meeting up with my ex-colleagues...my friends. Do I miss those days when we worked as a team? Definitely. But do I miss them enough to return? Most definitely not. Well, unless the 'package' is tripled! ha! It works out that good relationships with co-workers will live for years to come and develop into the kind of friendship whereby you need not call each other every week or even hear from each other monthly but the very second you meet, it's like family coming together. The laughter and clowning around, the silliness and lame jokes...each and everyone's character familiar to only 'members' of the family. It's like having no strings attached yet bonded by invisible strong ties. Now, how neat is that? How many of you can say you're blessed with cranky little ex-colleagues you can't help but shamely admit you love?! :P
