A brand new year
Last night was one of the best Thanksgiving nights we've had in years. It was three full hours of non-stop praise & worship to God (which for me was nothing short of excellent, as a personal connection to my Maker through music for the past year's ups and downs and for His watchful eye on me) and also countless prayers for the Tsunami victims.
Many have written about their thoughts over the recent heartbreak in Asia. Their condolences, their pain, their donations...
For the long and short of it, all I wanna say is...
People, don't wait for a disaster to happen in your life for you to be thankful for every waking, breathing day. Sure, life can be pretty mundane sometimes. Extremely boring. I also know people who don't think much about the new year. "Like, so what? It's just another day", they say. Worse still are those who couldn't care less about birthdays and are not into celebrating them. By celebrating, I don't mean you have to gather a whole community and down six bottles of alcohol. Just a simple smile of gratitude for the day you were born wouldn't hurt much, to be honest. Oh, trust me, I know someone like that. Now, how cacat (psycho-out-of-your-mind-dumb) is that?! They don't see the appreciation in life. Don't see why there's any importance in life to begin with. All up until.... *BANG!*
People, do NOT wait for something to hurt to help snap you out of ignorance. Now is the time. Make it your new year's resolution and change...NOW.
Not everyone makes it to grandparent age to sit on the rocking chair and reflect on their lives and make a change, ask for forgiveness, repent, confess or mellow down by being a more humble soul in their own sweet time.
Time and 'tide' really waits for no man. No pun intended there.
Blessed New Year, you all. With love...
